For the past 20 years I have been practicing General Dentistry in Wrentham during which time I have never encountered any situation quite like the COVID-19, one that we are all presently enduring. I’m certain we are all in agreement that this is an extremely challenging time.
As many of you know, our office has been serving the Town of Wrentham and its neighbors since the 1970s when our practice was originally established by Dr. Fisher. To this day, we have practiced with great passion keeping toe to toe with all the wonderful advancements in dentistry, while keeping one mission in mind, which is to provide the very best and safest possible care for our patients along with an enjoyable and safe work environment for our staff.
Today, for the first time in my career as a Dentist, it has become apparent to me that the Coronavirus outbreak has made it near impossible to guarantee as safe an environment as I would wish to provide for my patients as well as my work family, my staff.
With that being said, I also have the utmost confidence that this too will pass, as long as we face the challenges together.
While we have always met and exceeded CDC guidelines for sterilization and infection control, it is clear to us that the contagiousness of this virus may not be controlled 100% of the time.
As a result, in accordance and guidance provided by the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association, we have made the decision to suspend all elective dental treatment for the next few weeks.
Having said that, we will continue to make ourselves available to our patients who may require urgent emergency care.
As much as the decision to temporarily close the office has been a very difficult one, I feel confident that it is right one.
Currently we are hoping to open on or around April 6th. Kindly check our website for updates.
Wishing you and your family the best of health.
